Our city’s shared plan to tackle climate change

How are we doing?

Since the launch of the city’s first climate change strategy in 2009, school children, students, residents, community groups, businesses, universities, hospitals, the Council and charities right across the city have all been taking action on climate change. Each year there are more brilliant examples of how the city’s stakeholders are working hard to make Manchester a zero carbon, climate resilient city.

For more information on what has been happening and how this is helping us to meet our climate change targets, download one of the annual reports below.

In addition to our locally-produced annual reports, Manchester's climate change communitments and performance are also independently reviewed by the Global Covenant of Mayors (GCoM) and one of their technical partners Carbon discolure project (CDP). GCoM/CDP reports.
